Food, Inc. lifts the veil on the food industry, exposing the highly mechanized underbelly that’s been hidden from the consumer with the consent of the government. The documentary reveals often shocking truths about what we eat and how it’s produced, what the cost to our health is.

Biografia / Biography:
Il premiato regista Robert Kenner ha lavorato per oltre sei anni per portare Food, Inc. sullo schermo. Nel 2006 Kenner ha ricevuto alti riconoscimenti per Two Days in October, documentario sui devastanti agguati in Vietnam nel 1967 e le concomitanti proteste universitarie negli Stati Uniti, ottenendo un Peabody Award, un Emmy Award e un British Grierson Award. Nel 2003 Kenner ha prodotto The Road to Memphis, un documentario teatrale su The Blues Series di Martin Scorsese. Per la premiata serie della PBS “The american Experience”, Kenner ha diretto e prodotto War letters (2001) e Influenza 1918 (1998) sulla peggiore epidemia registrata nella storia dell’America. Award-winning filmmaker Robert Kenner worked for over six years to bring Food, Inc. to the screen. In 2006 Kenner was recognized with several top honors for Two Days in October, a documentary about a devastating ambush in Vietnam in 1967 and the simultaneous university protests in the US. The film earned a Peabody Award, an Emmy Award, and the British Grierson Award. In 2003 Kenner produced The Road to Memphis, a documentary for Martin Scorsese’s The Blues Series. For PBS’s award winning series “The American Experience, Kenner directed and produced War Letters (2001) and Influenza 1918 (1998) which chronicled the worst epidemic in American history. In the Emmy, Cable Ace, and Genesis Award winning America’s Endangered Species: Don’t Say Good-Bye (1997), Kenner followed two photographers in a race against the clock to capture powerful portraits of America’s most threatened creatures. Kenner has also produced feature films, rock videos, commercials, and IMAX presentations.
