Sinossi: Un uomo sul ciglio di un pozzo, indossa unimbragatura rudimentale.Con una camera in mano inizia una discesa di 126 metri e alla fine raggiunge altri due uomini che lavorano al centro della terra. Siamo entrati nel mondo dei tradizionali scavatori di pozzi del Niger. Attraverso interviste con il capomastro e i suoi lavoratori, il film rivela la perizia rudimentale con cui questi uomini lottano contro la sabbia per raggiungere lacqua. Girato in un paesaggio desertico, il film tratta i temi della desertificazione, del difficile accesso allacqua, e il loro impatto sulle comunità nomadi di allevatori di bestiame.
Synopsis: A man stands at the mouth of a well, donning a rudimentary harness. Camera in hand, he starts a 126 meter drop, at the end of which he reaches two men working at the center of the earth. We have entered the world of the traditional well-diggers of Niger. Through interviews with a master well-digger and his laborers, the film reveals the casual expertise of these men fighting against sand in order to access water. Shot in desert landscapes, the film deals with the themes of access to water, desertification and their impact on communities of nomadic cattle breeders.

| Biografia / Biography: Ingrid Patetta nata nel sud est della Francia, è cresciuta in America del Sud e nei Caraibi. Dopo gli studi di pubblicità a Puerto Rico e un Master in comunicazione a New York, ha lavorato per 5 anni negli USA come assistente di produzione, operatore e montatrice. Dal 2005 vive e lavora in Niger, dove ha fondato a Niamey la casa di produzione Caméra Nomade, Produce, dirige, gira e monta video istituzionali, videoclip e documentari in Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso e Madagascar. Ingrid Patetta was born in southeastern France and grew up in South America and the Caribbean. After studying advertising in Puerto Rico and earning a Masters in communications in New York, she worked for five years in the US as a production assistant, cameraman and editor. Since 2005 she has been living and working in Niger where she started a production company Caméra Nomade.
